The Visionary of Your Surf House Morocco
Mehdi – Founder, manager
& Head surf coach
Mehdi, the co-founder and owner of The Horizon, is an experienced and passionate surfer/bodyboarder at heart. Born and raised in Casablanca, he started surfing at a young age on the beaches of his hometown. As he grew up, he traveled across Morocco chasing waves, which ultimately led him to the beautiful Taghazout area. Mehdi has dedicated many years to perfecting his skills and knowledge of the sport while working in the surf industry. He's always eager to introduce people to the thrill of surfing and share the stoke that comes with it. When he's not in the water teaching surf lessons, he's hard at work handling all the behind-the-scenes tasks that make sure the guest house runs smoothly and delivers the best experience possible. After all, creating something of his own in Tamraght has always been Mehdi’s lifelong dream, and he channels all his passion into making The Horizon a true home away from home for all the guests.

She's always ready to answer your questions with a smile and makes sure you have nothing to worry about before checking into The Horizon. When she’s not busy replying to emails, you’ll probably find her updating the website, creating content and managing The Horizon’s socials

Walid
Our Experienced Surf Instructor
Walid is originally from Casablanca and has been working with Mehdi for a very long time. As an experienced surfer/bodyboarder he decided to become surf coach in 2018. He's been introducing people to the sport and helping surfers improve ever since! His enthusiasm motivates like no other, and his passion for surfing shines through in every lesson, making him an exceptional coach and a beloved member of our team!
